What to check before sending a file
First, check whether Discord explicitly says the file is too large. Use the table below to narrow down the problem, following the next step for your result. Stop once your intended file appears in a sent message.
Checklist for when Discord file uploads fail
Check file size, format, network conditions, permissions, and server workflow before sending PDFs or creative assets through Discord.

Still unable to send? Record the exact error text, or note that no error appeared. Include your device and OS, the Discord app version, and the checks you tried with their results. Also record whether you used a server channel or DM, the failed channel and the other channel you compared, your client (Discord app, browser, or mobile), your network (Wi-Fi or mobile data), when you tried the small test file, and what Discord Status showed. Save a screenshot if it helps show the problem; Discord's client information guide explains where to find your version and device details.
